The weather is a bit iffy and rainy today so I am using this morning to enjoy the wash house building with walls and electric outlets, and to catch up on some of my on line things. The story of Saturday, my second day, is in the previous post. There are photos to go with it which I am sharing below.
drag and reorder doesn’t seem to work on my tablet so excuse the slight out of order
This is a photo from the Purdy Canyon Cutoff
I awoke at the campsite near the lake in the morning
One of the other campers said the lake is full of oysters and they had a great time shucking them and eating them
Purely Canyon cutoff again
This Purdy Canyon cutoff was one of the most beautiful areas I’d seen
My google maps recommended this road but I decided not to take it
Later in the morning – primitive road? I didn’t go down there to investigate
I took a photo of the sign as I left the road so I would remember where I had been.
More Purdy Canyon cutoff
Later on I looked back and saw this beautiful view of the mountains in the distance
This is the jail outside Shelton, if I remember correctly. Someone driving in scolded me and told me that taking photos wasn’t allowed.
I passed some deer who ran off when they saw me, but this one stopped to look at me as I passed
I passed a pretty little lake with nice homes around it
Then, we entered the land of pine trees
And more pine trees
Pine trees that had been cut
Pine trees growing. The road was long, minimal signs of civilization, but a whole lot of pine trees!
Finally, my destination. Little did I know that the park was closed and I would be there alone
That was Saturday. Sunday photos will be coming soon.
